Stop Waiting on God: Step Out on Faith and Start Moving!

Let’s jump right into it. The message for today? Stop waiting on God! Often, we get so delayed because we’re waiting on “another word” from God. But guess what?
He’s already given you all you need to execute the assignment on your life. You have everything you need to move forward in your purpose. Let’s dive deeper.
You Already Have Every Spiritual Blessing
One of the most powerful verses I hold onto is Ephesians 1:3.
It tells us that God has “already blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm.” Not just some blessings—every blessing.
Yet, so many of us sit around waiting for God to bless us, not realizing that He’s already done it!
Here’s the truth: our blessings exist in the heavenly realm.
They’re waiting for us to call them down to manifest in our lives here on earth. God has given us authority through Jesus to do this!
The Word of God says in Matthew that His kingdom should come and His will should be done “on earth as it is in heaven.”
Use that authority to pray your blessings into existence.
Step Into Your Authority and Stop Waiting
God has already told you what to do, so it’s time to stop waiting on Him for a new “word” and start taking action on the word He’s already given.
This was a lesson I had to learn myself. I used to think, “I don’t want to move ahead of God.”
But then I came across Deuteronomy 31:8, which says, “The Lord himself goes before you.”
You see, God goes before us! You can’t “go ahead of Him” as long as your life is yielded to Him.
Each morning, I wake up and submit my day to God, asking Him to lead and guide me. And when I pray that, I believe it. I know God has heard me, and I believe He’s leading my steps. So, I don’t have to wait around for another spiritual encounter to confirm it—I go off what God has already told me.
Relying on the Word: The Bible and His Promises
One of the key principles I live by as a mature disciple of Christ is trusting in the Word God has already given.
We’re told in Mark 11:23-24 to “believe we’ve received” what we ask for in prayer.
Jesus assures us that we can trust in His Word and move confidently. If you’re always waiting for “another word,” it’s like not fully trusting that what God already said is enough.
Lean on the Bible, the Logos—the written Word of God. His promises in scripture are timeless and applicable, guiding us even when we don’t “feel” a new divine message every day. I can confidently step forward, knowing I’m in alignment with Him, because God Himself goes before me.
Becoming a Mature Disciple
John 15:7 in the Passion Translation says, “If you live in life union with me, and if my words live powerfully within you, then you can ask whatever you desire, and it will be done.”
Mature disciples don’t have to constantly rely on new “words” from God; they know His Word and His nature deeply. Mature faith allows us to lean on God’s guidance daily and walk boldly.
It’s so freeing when you fully submit to God’s lead, trusting Him to direct your steps. You don’t have to second-guess every action because, as a mature disciple, you’re confident that your life is aligned with His will.
Stop Second-Guessing and Take Action
We often second-guess our decisions, doubting if we’re on the right path. But the Bible tells us that we have the mind of Christ!
Those thoughts that limit us, that make us doubt, that tell us “wait a little longer”—we can take those thoughts captive and make them obedient to Christ.
If you’ve been stuck or stagnant, now is the time to break out of it. Reflect on where you’ve been holding yourself back, and release those limiting beliefs. Remember, God has already equipped you for your purpose, so step out and walk in the truth of who He says you are.
