To guide women toward a life of true freedom, where they’re able to live on their terms while fulfilling God’s calling for their lives.
Four years ago, I launched my purpose-driven business, Faithology Brand, and my life completely transformed. But it wasn’t always this way. I know the feeling of being stuck, unfulfilled, and yearning for more. Even when I was living my dream as a nurse—a career I worked so hard to achieve—I found myself asking, “God, is there more to this life?”
The answer was yes, and He was calling me higher. Today, I want to share the six reasons why profiting from your purpose isn’t just a good idea—it’s what God intends for you.
Let’s break down the word PROFIT as an acronym that reveals the full picture.
P: It Pleases God
The first reason to profit from your purpose is simple: it pleases God.
Isaiah 43:7 tells us that God created us for His glory.
When you operate in your God-given purpose, you bring glory to Him. Think about this: if you use a pen to scratch your scalp, you’re not honoring the pen’s purpose. Its creator designed it to write. Similarly, God designed you with unique gifts, talents, and skills. When you neglect or underuse them, you’re not fulfilling His intent for your life.
The Parable of the Talents in Matthew 25:14–30 reinforces this. In the story, a master gives three servants different amounts of money. Two servants invest their talents and multiply them, pleasing their master. The third buries his talent out of fear, disappointing the master.
You don’t want to be the third servant. God wants you to multiply the gifts He’s given you. When you walk in your purpose, develop your talents, and serve others, you glorify Him. Profiting from your purpose is about stewardship—taking what God has placed in you and using it to its fullest.
R: Resource Your Proficiencies
The second reason to profit from your purpose is to resource your proficiencies—your strengths, talents, and skills.
God didn’t give you gifts to keep to yourself. Your skills are meant to be discovered, developed, and delivered to the world. A great way to identify these proficiencies is by asking yourself:
- What do people come to me for?
- What am I naturally good at?
- What activities light me up?
Your purpose often lies at the intersection of your passions and proficiencies. Maybe you’re great at teaching, organizing, or writing. These aren’t just hobbies; they’re clues to your purpose.
When you identify and develop your strengths, you position yourself to serve others effectively. And when you serve others well, profiting from your purpose becomes a natural byproduct.
O: Operate in Your Passions
The third reason to profit from your purpose is that it allows you to operate in your passions.
There’s nothing more fulfilling than waking up each day excited about what you get to do. Passion fuels perseverance. As an entrepreneur, you’ll face challenges, but when you love what you do, it’s easier to push through tough times.
Reflect on your childhood passions. What activities brought you joy? What causes ignite your heart today? These passions are often tied to your purpose.
For example, I’ve always been passionate about helping others. That passion led me to nursing, but it also guided me to create Faithology, where I help women discover their purpose and build purpose-driven businesses. Your passion will not only drive you but also inspire others, creating a ripple effect of impact.
F: Fulfillment and Freedom
The fourth reason to profit from your purpose is the fulfillment and freedom it brings.
When you’re profiting from your purpose, you’re not just earning income—you’re building a life that aligns with who you are. There’s nothing more rewarding than knowing you’re making a difference while living out God’s plan for you.
I know what it’s like to feel trapped. As a nurse, I often missed precious moments with my family because of long shifts. Today, I have the freedom to be present for my loved ones, work on my own terms, and live with a sense of fulfillment that a traditional job couldn’t provide.
If you’re feeling stuck, know that freedom is on the other side of obedience. When you step out in faith and follow God’s calling, He will open doors you never imagined.

Let’s talk about income. The fifth reason to profit from your purpose is the financial abundance it can bring.
When you align your business with your God-given purpose, you position yourself to create wealth in a way that feels authentic and rewarding. One of the best ways to do this is by creating digital products, like eBooks, courses, or templates.
These products allow you to monetize your expertise and generate passive income—money that comes in even when you’re not actively working.

Your story, your gifts, and your experiences are part of God’s plan to reach others. When you step into your purpose, you create a ripple effect that inspires others to do the same.
